Another triumph of our swimmers: the results of the V.V. Asaev Memorial tournament

Nizhny Tagil hosted the Sverdlovsk Region regional swimming tournament in memory of V.V. Asaev. 352 athletes, 29 teams from 20 cities of Russia took part.

The athletes of the A.V. Popov School demonstrated excellent results, winning many awards in individual and team competitions.

Personal achievements:

Mikhail Zharkov
gold in the 100 m freestyle and 100 m butterfly;
silver in the 100 m backstroke and 200 m backstroke.

Ivan Kurapov
gold in the 200 m freestyle;
silver in the 400 m freestyle and 1500 m freestyle;
bronze in the 100 m freestyle.

Arseniy Shubin
bronze in the 100 m backstroke;
bronze in the 200 m backstroke;
bronze in the 100 m butterfly.

Team successes

Gold in the 4 × 50 m freestyle relay (boys). The team consists of Ivan Kurapov, Arseniy Shubin, Ivan Shimov, Mikhail Zharkov.

Gold in the 4 × 50 m relay complex swimming (boys). The team consists of Ivan Kurapov, Arseniy Shubin, Adam Asakov, Mikhail Zharkov.

Bronze in the 4 × 50 m freestyle relay (girls). The team consists of Veronika Stepanova, Varvara Salamatova, Irina Novikova, Victoria Korelina.

The V.V. Asaev memorial tournament once again confirmed the high level of training of our swimmers. Congratulations to the athletes and coaches with well-deserved awards and wish them new victories!
