"Southern stars" submitted to our synchronized swimmers

The athletes of the Alexander Popov School successfully competed in the All-Russian synchronized swimming competitions "Southern Stars", which took place from October 22 to October 27 in Kislovodsk (FSBI "Yug-sport"). In total, more than 400 athletes from 14 regions of the Russian Federation participated in the tournament.

The wards of Daria Kirillova and Alexandra Donchenko became the winners of the competition. Our girls took 1st place in the sports discipline "Group" (category: girls under 13) and won the bronze medal in the sports discipline "Combined group" (category: girls under 13).

The team consists of Maria Baneva, Angelina Barysheva, Elizaveta Bondarenko, Alla Generalchik, Alexandra Dontsova, Ulyana Istomina, Ellina Karpushina, Ulyana Maidan, Taisiya Perminova, Victoria Khanova, Vera Chernova, Sofya Chugunova.

Silver medals in the Duet sports discipline (category: girls under 13) Alexandra Dontsova and Ulyana Maidan are on the bill.

As noted by senior coach Daria Kirillova: "We can call the team's performance good. The coaches have identified technical flaws, which we plan to fix by the next competition."
