The first successes of our jumpers at international competitions

Four athletes from the Alexander Popov School took part in the diving competition "Raisa Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan", which took place from November 2 to November 7 in Kazan. For David Dityatev, Semyon Bespamyatnykh, Danila Kotelnikov and Egor Makushev, this was the first experience of performing internationally.

Our guys showed good results and competed well with the jumpers who are part of the Russian national team.

So, David Dityatev managed to masterfully perform the fourth jump and took 3rd place in the sports discipline "Springboard 1 meter". This result allowed David to get into the top of the best international athletes at his age.

"This was our first experience of international competitions. We performed under the World Aquatics program, which is used at the Russian championships and at such international tournaments," comments Maxim Makarenko, a trainer-teacher. - New disciplines were also involved. Our guys managed to try out new jumps. The competition calendar was very exhausting. Two athletes have 3 finals per day. But they coped with the load and returned with a medal. All representatives of the Russian national team participated in the competition. Despite this, we managed to impose a fight on a one-meter springboard. The fact that they brought a medal from such a big competition is very valuable. We are satisfied with the result."
